DM Bellis has taught at the secondary and college levels and currently works as a freelance editor. She loves being part of the process that brings new work to life and enjoys partnering with writers to polish and extend their work.

A California native, she has lived all over the United States and traveled in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. She now resides in Kentucky, where she relocated after living and working in Japan for a number of years. When not writing or editing, she enjoys travel, theatre, good museums, and reading, of course!

Her creative work has appeared in Kyoto Journal, The Gateway Review, The Ocotillo Review, and Calliope. She has recently completed a paranormal family saga set in the early nineteenth century and is now researching a historical novel set in Italy.
